Freeing ourselves from our dependence on carbon is a shared issue for the entire world. In Japan, too, the administration of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga set a government target*1 of an effective rate of zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Innovations through 4 D energy will be absolutely vital to achieve this goal. We need innovations in four fields: (1) deregulation through liberalization and the introduction of the principle of competition; (2) digitization through the installation of smart meters; (3) decarboniaztion through making renewable energy our core energy source; and (4) decentralization through the use of smart grid technology that combines electric vehicles and fuel cells. ENECHANGE’s core strategy is to become a platform to accelerate the digital transformation (DX) of the 4 Ds of energy.
Our aim is to become a category leader as an ‘energy tech’ company, one that accelerates innovations towards achieving a decarbonized society. We have a track record in the provision of DX services* in all 4 Ds of energy fields, from our founding as an ’energy change‘ service with the liberalization of the electricity market, achieving growth through digitization, and now aiming to grow through decarbonization and decentralization.
