- Press Release
EVsmart, the popular charging spot search app, to be integrated with the ENECHANGE EV Charge app
ENECHANGE Ltd. is pleased to announce that on 28 June 2023, the EV apps ‘EVsmart’ and ‘ENECHANGE EV Charge’ will be merged into one ENECHANGE EV Charge app. The two apps will be reborn as a single, more convenient app for EV users, allowing them to search, charge, and review everything in one place.
About the integrated version of the ENECHANGE EV Charge app
Currently, ENECHANGE operates two apps: ‘EVsmart’ and ‘ENECHANGE EV Charge’. The ‘EVsmart’ charging port search app has been downloaded over 220,000 times (*as of June 2023) and has been used by many EV users for functions such as searching for charging ports and posting reviews. The current ENECHANGE EV Charge app also enables users to search for charging spots and use charging ports, and supports cashless payment via the app. Since the acquisition of the EVsmart business from AYUDANTE Inc. in September 2022, ENECHANGE has been preparing for the integration in order to further improve the app functions while implementing functional improvements every month or two.
The new ENECHANGE EV Charge app, which will be launched with the integration of the apps on 28 June (Wednesday) 2023, will have three main functions in a single app: searching for charging spots nationwide; charging via the ENECHANGE network of 6kW Level 2 charging ports, the largest* in terms of number of installed units; and submitting reviews. The app also allows the user to submit reviews of the operating status of the charging ports. In addition to searching for charging spots in the vicinity of the user’s current location or at a specified address, the user can also narrow down the search criteria, such as charging port type and output, making it useful not only for daily use, but also for planning trips.
The popular ‘review’ functionality of EVsmart has been added, and users can now use the ‘available’ and ‘not available’ rating buttons for easy usage reporting, the comment function, as well as the registration of favourite spots. In addition, favourite charging spots added to the My List in the EVsmart app can be transferred by re-logging in after the app integration update on or after 28 June 2023.
Changes before and after app integration
With the update delivered on Wednesday 28 June 2023, the EVsmart app will automatically be replaced by the ‘ENECHANGE EV Charge’ app and a new app icon will be displayed. The existing ‘ENECHANGE EV Charge’ app will change from its current red icon to a grey one, and the service of the old app will be terminated by the end of July 2023.
After the integration of the apps, ENECHANGE will continue to promptly update data, such as registering new charging port locations and reflecting fault information, and will also work to improve the app functions with the aim of increasing convenience for EV users.
