ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoya Maruoka),is pleased to announce that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Tokai Village in Ibaraki Prefecture to promote the realization of a zero-carbon city through the advancement of EV adoption. We have installed ENECHANGE EV Charge Level 2 charging ports at two public facilities within the village. We will continue to support the progress of Tokai Village’s local community, the construction of EV charging infrastructure, and the realization of a zero-carbon city.

Background of the Agreement

Tokai Village in Ibaraki Prefecture is promoting the use of clean energy and the adoption of EVs in line with the “Zero Carbon City Declaration”. Since 2012, the village has been developing solar power projects by leasing roofs and land of village-owned facilities, and promoting the spread of renewable energy by effectively utilizing public facilities, such as installing mega solar systems in the town hall parking lot. Against this backdrop, ENECHANGE is advancing the installation of ENECHANGE EV Charge to improve convenience for EV users and promote the adoption of EVs among village residents.

Introduction of ENECHANGE EV Charge at Public Facilities

ENECHANGE has implemented its ENECHANGE EV Charge, the 6kW Level 2 Charging ports, at two public facilities in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture, and is already operational.

ENECHANGE EV Charge

Furthermore, the “ENECHANGE Passport”, flat-rate subscription plan of 2,980 yen (tax included) per month, allows multiple charges during daytime hours and offers significant economic benefits especially to EV users without home charging facilities.
