ENECHANGE expands EV charging roaming through app integration with the TOYOTA Wallet
ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoya Maruoka),is pleased to announce the commencement of roaming services for users of the “EV Charging Service” in the TOYOTA Wallet app, offered by Toyota Financial Services Co. starting November 18, 2024.This enables the use of eligible charging ports nationwide with “ENECHANGE EV Charge” from TOYOTA Wallet app.
Overview
From November 18, 2024, in addition to approximately 1,000 locations available through the “EV Charging Service” with the TOYOTA Wallet app, around 3,000 charging ports under ENECHANGE EV Charge*1 will also be accessible. As a result, ENECHANGE EV Charge can now be used not only through the traditional ENECHANGE EV Charge app, e-Mobility Power, and charging cards provided by automakers, but also through the “EV Charging Service” in the TOYOTA Wallet app. The charging fee via the “EV Charging Service” in the TOYOTA Wallet app is 55 JPY per 10 minutes (with an average charging output of 6kW).
*1 Target charging ports: A total of 3,071 Level 2 charging ports (including 29 ports under 6kW) of “ENECHANGE EV Charge” nationwide by the end of Oct 2024.
Background to the expansion of EV charging roaming
With its mission to “create the future of energy,” ENECHANGE has been working on the development of EV charging infrastructure since 2021 to promote the adoption of EVs as an essential component for the realization of a decarbonized society.
By providing an environment where users of the TOYOTA Wallet app can use EV charging seamlessly, we will contribute to expanding the charging infrastructure and enhancing the convenience for EV and PHEV users.
In addition, in the section on mutual utilization collaboration among EV charging service providers in the Fair Trade Commission’s investigation report*2, it is stated that “Promoting mutual utilization collaboration under fair conditions duly discussed between parties is desirable from a competition policy perspective.” ENECHANGE will work towards further developing mutual utilization collaboration in EV charging services.
About TOYOTA Wallet (This app is only available in Japan)
TOYOTA Financial Services Co. provides a smartphone app. It allows applications for TOYOTA car loans and credit cards, payment for various services offered at TOYOTA dealerships and through car navigation systems, everyday payments, shared parking, shared bicycles, and now this EV Charging Service. In the “EV Charging Service,” users can access over 1,000 ports nationwide, including ENECHANGE EV Charge ports, making it available to users of non-TOYOTA vehicles.

ENECHANGE EV Charge
ENECHANGE has been providing the EV Charging Service since November 2021 to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. Furthermore, the “ENECHANGE Passport”, flat-rate subscription plan of 2,980 yen (tax included) per month, allows multiple charges during daytime hours and offers significant economic benefits especially to EV users without home charging facilities.
