ENECHANGE EV Charge introduced at Roadside Station Crossroad Mitsugi, Onomichi, Hiroshima

ENECHANGE Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has installed its first two-port charger as part of its ENECHANGE EV Charge at Roadside Station Crossroad MITSUGI, Onomichi-shi, Hiroshima Prefecture.

Background and Objectives

ENECHANGE EV Charge focuses on destination charging: charging at locations where drivers may spend several hours and want to have a top-up charge, such as golf courses and other leisure facilities, as well as universities and other educational facilities.

EV charging infrastructure is being developed at roadside stations in Onomichi, and as part of these efforts, we installed two ENECHANGE EV Charge ports at Roadside Station Crossroad Mitsugi. The facility, which also hosts a restaurant and a vegetable market, is used by many people, including local residents. In the future, we would like to encourage its use as a place to charge EVs while staying at the facility.

Roadside Station Crossroad Mitsugi is located in the town of Michi-cho, central Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. The town has long flourished as a post town at the crossroads of the ancient Sanyo Road and the Ginzan Highway, and is a popular leisure spot with a natural hot spring and a golf course in the neighborhood.

The number of EVs and PHVs per 10,000 people in Saitama Prefecture is 15.8, ranking 39th in Japan*. We will continue to contribute to the spread of EV charging infrastructure in cooperation with companies working to create local communities and achieve the SDGs.
