Collaboration in EV Charging Infrastructure Development

ENECHANGE Ltd is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with MIRAIT Mobile East Co.,Ltd. (“MME”) and MIRAIT MOBILE WEST CO.,LTD, (“MMW”), the mobile network operator part of the MIRAIT ONE Group, for the expansion of ENECHANGE EV Chargeinstallations.

Overview of partnership

Against the backdrop of the Japanese government’s target to increase the percentage of electric vehicles in new passenger car sales to 100% by 2035, ENECHANGE has set a goal of investing up to 30 billion yen to install 30,000 EV ordinary chargers in Japan by 2027. We are installing EV chargers with zero installation and monthly fees, utilizing subsidies provided by the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center (NeV). Since applying for subsidies requires a great deal of expertise in fulfilling the application requirements for each installation location, we are strengthening our collaboration with partner companies that promote this together with us.

MME and MMW have long been involved in the construction of EV charging infrastructure in Japan, leveraging their expertise in telecommunications infrastructure construction nationwide, and have the skills required both install EV chargers and to apply for subsidies. Through this partnership agreement, MME and MMW will strengthen sales of ENECHANGE EV Charge as sales partners by harnessing the customer bases of both companies, while MME and MMW will further accelerate a smooth installation process by taking charge of subsidy application support and construction work.

About ENECHANGE EV Charging Service

The ENECHANGE EV Charging service provides the installation of EV charging facilities at minimal upfront cost, making it ideal for charging at public locations such as commercial facilities, lodging facilities, and other public destinations. To improve convenience for EV drivers, we promote the development of domestic EV charging infrastructure by providing EV charger hardware, applications for users, and charging management systems for site hosts.
