ENECHANGE Installs Two EV Charging Ports at New Commercial Facility in Front of Numazu Station Fujikyuko “hopes to contribute to the EV shift around Numazu Station”
ENECHANGE Ltd. announces that it has installed two ENECHANGE EV Charge charging ports in the paid parking lot of Plaza Fontana-Numazu Station, a commercial facility opened by Fujikyuko Ltd. on the former site of Fujikyu Department Store Numazu.
Background
With the government’s goal of increasing the percentage of electric vehicles in new passenger car sales to 100% by 2035, ENECHANGE has set a target of investing up to 30 billion JPY to install 30,000 EV charging ports in Japan by 2027. In particular, the company is focusing on destination charging, which sees users top-up their EV battery charge after arriving at their destination, and is actively promoting the installation of 6kW charging ports at lodging facilities, commercial facilities, leisure facilities, golf courses, and other locations where people stay for 2-3 hours or longer.
In April, Fujikyuko opened Plaza Fontana-Numazu Station, a commercial facility with insurance agencies and beauty salons, on the former site of Fujikyu Department Store Numazu at the south exit of JR Numazu Station (Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture). Two ENECHANGE EV Charge 6kW charging ports were installed in the parking lot. The parking lot will be open to non-users of the facility, contributing to the EV shift of Numazu Station users and local residents.
The number of EVs and PHVs per 10,000 people in Shizuoka Prefecture is 30.3, ranking 13th in Japan*. We will continue to contribute to the spread of EV charging infrastructure in cooperation with companies working to create local communities and achieve the SDGs.
