ENECHANGE Ltd. announces that it has signed a collaboration agreement with the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture for the dissemination of Level 2 charging facilities at public facilities in order to realize Yokohama City’s goal of ‘Zero Carbon Yokohama’.
Background to the cooperation agreement
With the Japanese government’s target of 100% low-emission vehicles in new car sales by 2035, ENECHANGE has set a target of investing up to 30 billion JPY to install 30,000 Level 2 charging ports by 2027. We actively promote destination charging which utilizes 6 kW Level 2 charging ports installed in commercial facilities, leisure facilities, accommodation facilities, golf courses, and other places where people stay for long periods of time.
Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture is aiming to decarbonize the city by 2050 under the banner of ‘Zero Carbon Yokohama’ and is focusing on promoting the spread of next-generation vehicles and infrastructure development. While the installation of fast charging facilities in public facilities and on public roads is being actively promoted, theu are facing challenges in the spread of Level 2 charging facilities, which led to the signing of a cooperation agreement with ENECHANGE, which is promoting the installation of Level 2 EV charging ports.
Details of the cooperation agreement
