ENECHANGE Ltd. (hereafter: “the Company”) is pleased to announce the installation of 6kW Level 2 charging ports under its ENECHANGE EV Charge brand at all 10 golf facilities operated by Daiwa Royal Golf Co., Ltd. (hereafter: “Daiwa Royal Golf”).
Background
The government aims to make low-emission vehicles 100% of new passenger car sales by 2035. To achieve this, the government plansincrease the installation of EV charging ports to 300,000 by 2030, doubling the previous figure of 150,000. Particularly, destination charging is expected to reach between 100,000 to 150,000 ports. To achieve this, installing more than 10,000 chargers annually is necessary.
The Company aims to invest up to 30 billion yen by 2027 to install 30,000 Level 2 charging ports nationwide. Golf courses in particular have a high demand for destination charging, as they often involve long stays and are mainly accessed by personal vehicles.
Daiwa Royal Golf operates 10 golf facilities nationwide, featuring beautiful landscapes that make the most of natural terrain. As a member of the Daiwa House Group, the company is actively engaged in SDGs, introducing initiatives like water conservation and introducing eco-friendly laundry bags to replace plastic bags. As a next step, they are focusingn EV charging ports, opting for the most-installed ENECHANGE EV Charge for all their facilities. For example, during a five-hour stay, using a 6kW ENECHANGE EV Charge can extend the driving range by approximately 250 km. This not only satisfies EV users but also helps to accelerate the shift to EVs among golf players. Operations have begun at the Noto Golf Club (Shika Town, Ishikawa Prefecture), and installations at the remaining nine facilities are planned to take place sequentially within 2023, contributing to the realization of a more sustainable golf environment.
