ENECHANGE collaborates with Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure on signing of construction contract for three new solar PV projects in Australia
ENECHANGE Ltd.(Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yohei Kiguchi) is pleased to announce three additional solar power projects with Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co. Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Morimasa Matsuda; hereinafter “Daiwa Energy Infrastructure”), which our company supports in project development and operation are advancing to the construction phase. With this development, the total number of Australian solar projects under construction through collaboration between Daiwa Energy Infrastructure andENECHANGE has now reached seven.
Daiwa Energy Infrastructure Ltd.,through its subsidiary established in Australia, NSW DEI INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT PTY. has acquired a 100% equity interest in a project in New South Wales (hereinafter: the Project) and has signed a construction contract with an Australian contractor.
The Project has been developed by Obton A/S, the parent company of the seller in this transaction, and Canigou Australian Solar Energy Limited (“Canigou”), headquartered in Hong Kong.
As part of its overseas renewable energy investment support business (hereinafter: Advisory Business), ENECHANGE provides research services on electricity markets and systems, confirms sourcing and commercial terms for investment projects, coordinates with developers and supports investment implementation. WIth the addition of these three projects, the total number of investment projects supported has reachedseven. We will continue to promote our advisory business for investment in renewable energy in Australia and contribute to decarbonisation through this endeavor.

Relationship with Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co. Ltd.
Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Daiwa Securities Group, is responsible for investments in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors both in Japan and overseas. The company has previously invested as a Limited Partner in an overseas-focused decarbonized energy fund (“the Fund”) established by ENECHANGE’s group company. With an intention to expand its investment to countries not initially covered by the Fund, Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Co. Ltd. has chosen Australia as the target country for investment and construction due to its potential for further expansion of renewable energy investment. ENECHANGE will continue to provide support to Daiwa Energy Infrastructure’s renewable energy investments, including this Project and other upcoming investment initiatives, primarily through coordinating administrative assistance.
