ENECHANGE 2024 New Year’s Message
I would like to extend my best wishes for the New Year and to express my sincere gratitude for your exceptional support during the past year.
In 2023, we finally managed to arrive at London Bridge through the “tunnel” caused by the energy crisis due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. We also revised the sales forecast upward driven by the EV charging business.
In our New Year’s Message last year, we positioned 2023 as a “Year of the Restart”, aiming to transform our business and profit structure for renewed growth centred on both Platform and EV recharging businesses. I believe we successfully delivered the outcome.
We would like to make 2024 the “Year of Flight”.
In 2023, with baseball player Shohei Otani’s largest contract in worldwide sports history and the world’s largest IPO of ARM under SoftBank Group, I witnessed Japanese people achieving the best in the world. I also received a strong sense of courage and pride as a Japanese person.
I would like to make 2024 the “Year of Flight” (left of the image) for us as well. We would like to sublimate our business to a level where we can compete on a global scale and become the world’s No.1. To achieve this, we will aim to win out completely in the domestic market and focus on building cutting edge energy-tech businesses.
As I was writing this message, I realized that the unicorn statue I introduced last year, which celebrated a market capitalization of 1 billion USD at the end of 2021, has no wings (right of the image).
In 2024, we will be working together with the new “Unicorn with wings in flight” (center of the image) to regain 1 billion USD market capitalization.
