Kenyu Adachi, who served as Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, becomes an outside director.

ENECHANGE Ltd. announces that Tatsuya Sogano, who has participated in the company since its founding as a director, and Kana Bogaki, co-founder/director of Makuake, Inc. were appointed as outside directors at the 7th General Shareholders Meeting held on March 30, 2022, and assumed office on the same date.

ENECHANGE announces that Kenyu Adachi, who previously served as Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, was elected as an outside director at the 8th General Shareholders Meeting held on March 30, 2023, and assumed office on the same date.

Profile
Adachi joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)) in 1977. Here, he served as deputy vice-minister and as director-general of the Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau, and vice-minister of METI. After leaving METI in 2013, he served as an outside director for Asahi Kasei Corporation, Toyo Engineering Corporation, and Tsugami Corporation, and as representative director of Shoko Chukin Bank, Ltd.

■Reason for Appointment
Mr. Kensuke Adachi was elected as a Director based on his broad insight based on his many years of experience in economic and industrial administration, including energy, and his experience as an outside director at a listed company, which is expected to provide advice on the Company’s overall management and is suitable for making decisions on important management matters and supervising business execution. He is expected to provide advice on management policies based on his experience in economic and industrial administration with a view to contributing to the Company’s business in the Green Transformation (GX) promoted by the government.
