Notice of Appointment of New Executive Officer

ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yohei Kiguchi, COO: Ippei Arita) is pleased to announce the appointment of one new executive officer in charge of overseas venture collaboration, effective March 1, 2022.

He will take advantage of his international experience based in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Japan, his academic knowledge of the environment and energy fields, and his experience at a foreign consulting firm to serve as the executive officer in charge of overseas venture partnerships. He will be in charge of (1) “ENECHANGE INSIGHT VENTURES (EIV),” an energy innovation program to discover venture companies with advanced technologies overseas, and (2) “Japan Energy Fund,” which invests in overseas venture companies.

Tomohito Shibata

Tomohito Shibata graduated from the University of Cambridge in Geography, with a focus in climatology and glaciology, as well as a graduate degree from the University College London (UCL) in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment. Before joining ENECHANGE, he was a manager at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. He specialised in corporate strategy, full potential transformations and Private Equity/ M&A where he covered a wide range of industries, particularly industrial goods and consumer goods. In March, 2022, he joined ENECHANGE’s leadership team as an executive officer of ENECHANGE. He is in charge of overseas venture collaboration.
