ENECHANGE revamps its ENECHANGE Cloud EV product range

ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yohei Kiguchi, PhD) is pleased to announce that it has revamped the product line-up of its SaaS service ENECHANGE Cloud EV into three new services areas for electric vehicle (EV) charging providers.

Background

In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the government has set a target of 100% electric vehicles in new passenger car sales by 2035. In order to accelerate the spread of electric vehicles (EVs), it is important to develop charging port infrastructure, and user demand for such infrastructure is increasing year by year. In response, companies from various industries are actively participating in EV charging-related businesses.

The development and operation of fast, low-cost and high-quality services is a key challenge for companies, and although application functions such as map display and charge management functions are common among many services, each company has specific requirements and develops them individually, causing a slower service rollout.

ENECHANGE Cloud EV

ENECHANGE has developed an EV charging application that utilizes the know-how of its own EV charging service as well as the broader functionalities of ENECHANGE Cloud EV, a solution for EV charging services that provides information on EV charging spots nationwide via an API. By collecting information from many EV charging service providers in Japan, we hold information on approximately 33,000 charging ports*1 nationwide, making us one of the leading aggregators in Japan. In addition, the system revises and updates information by taking feedback from surveys and the EV-specific media platform EVsmart, providing EV users with up-to-date and highly accurate information. Operators of charging apps and navigation systems can reduce the burden of data collection and updating work by linking data from the ENECHANGE Cloud EV to the API.

Revamped product line-up and more user-friendly cloud service for EV charging service providers

The ENECHANGE Cloud EV product line-up has been revamped and reorganized into three new services: EVsmart Data API, EV Navi & Charge App, and EV Charging Platform. These services include API linkage utilizing the charging spot data published on EVsmart, white-labelling and OEM-based EV charging app development, as well as one-stop EV charging service operation from charging port management to authentication and billing systems.
