ENECHANGE installs 16 Level 2 charging ports at four public facilities in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture

ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoya Maruoka) has commenced the operation of 16 ENECHANGE EV Charge ports at four public facilities in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture. This initiative is based on the collaboration agreement signed with Kakogawa City for the installation and operation of charging facilities at public locations. Through this effort, we aim to enhance convenience for EV users and support the realization of the “Kakogawa City Zero-Carbon City Declaration.”

Background of the Collaboration Agreement

In Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, a “Kakogawa City Zero Carbon City Declaration” was announced in February 2022, aiming for net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050 to sustainably develop the future environment and pass it on to the next generation. As part of this initiative, a collaboration agreement was signed with ENECHANGE to expand EV charging ports in public facilities. Following this, ENECHANGE agreed to introduce “ENECHANGE EV Charge” and begin providing EV charging services to enhance convenience for EV users, thereby strengthening the EV adoption in the region.

Contents of the Collaboration Agreement

In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we jointly promote the introduction of charging ports for EVs within public facility premises, aiming to encourage the adoption of EV in the city. Relevant matters to achieve this include:

  1. Matters related to the installation of charging ports in public facilities.
  2. Other projects that contribute to the purpose.

Introduction of ENECHANGE EV Charge to Public Facilities

ENECHANGE EV Charge, a 6kW Level 2 charging port, has been gradually installed and is now operational at four public facilities in Kakogawa City.

ENECHANGE EV Charge

Furthermore, the “ENECHANGE Passport”, a flat-rate subscription plan of 2,980 JPY (tax included) per month, allows multiple charges during daytime hours and offers significant economic benefits, especially to EV users without home charging facilities.
