ENECHANGE EV Charges introduced at Nasukogen Rindoh-ko Family Bokujo, Nasu-gun, Tochigi

ENECHANGE Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has installed its first two-port Level 2 charger as part of its ENECHANGE EV Charge at Nasukogen Rindoh-ko Family Bokujo (Nasu-gun, Tochigi Prefecture).

Background and Objectives

ENECHANGE EV Charge focuses on destination charging: charging at locations where drivers may spend several hours and want to have a top-up charge, such as golf courses and other leisure facilities, as well as universities and other educational facilities.

Nasukogen Rindoh-ko Family Bokujo, where this service was recently introduced, is a leisure facility surrounded by the great nature centering on Rindo Lake. It is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist facility where both adults and children can enjoy a full day of activities, including animal petting zoo, attractions, and a glamping/auto-camping facility that opened in August 2020. The facility, which takes advantage of a vast site of approximately 300,000㎡, is equipped with a parking lot that can accommodate 1,000 passenger vehicles. The ENECHANGE EV Charge system has been installed to further improve convenience for visitors.

The number of EVs and PHVs per 10,000 people in Saitama Prefecture is 23.1, ranking 15th in Japan*. We will continue to contribute to the spread of EV charging infrastructure in cooperation with companies working to create local communities and achieve the SDGs.

Nasukogen Rindoh-ko Family Bokujo

This animal petting theme park takes advantage of the natural beauty of Lake Rindo, the only lake in the Nasu Highlands, and the Nasu Mountain Range. Since its opening in 1965, the park has been popular with many visitors to Nasu Kogen, a tourist resort area that attracts more than 14 million visitors annually.
