ENECHANGE to install 11 6kW EV charging ports at Hotel Mikazuki locations
ENECHANGE Ltd. (“the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has installed a total of six 6kW charging ports as part of its ENECHANGE EV Charge service at the Ryugu Spa Hotel Mikazuki Fujimi-Tei hot spring resort in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture, and at the Hotel Mikazuki headquarters. Five further charging ports are scheduled to be installed at the adjacent Ryugu-Tei in September 2023.
Background
The government has set a goal of 100% low emission vehicles in new passenger car sales by 2035. Simultaneously, ENECHANGE has set a goal of investing up to 30 billion yen to install 30,000 EV charging ports in Japan by 2027. In particular, the Company is focusing on destination charging, and is actively promoting the installation of 6kW charging ports at commercial facilities, leisure facilities, golf courses, and other places where people stay for two hours or longer. Charging facilities at overnight lodging facilities are a key consideration in planning travel for EV drivers, and demand for 6kW charging ports is increasing as they can almost fully charge EVs overnight. The government subsidy program “Subsidy for Promoting the Introduction of Clean Energy Vehicles and Infrastructure” can be applied to installation of our charging ports, and installation is accelerating with our Zero Yen for Installation Campaign.
Ryugu Spa Hotel Mikazuki is a resort hotel located in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture, where all 480 guest rooms overlook Tokyo Bay and offer hot springs and leisure pools for guests of all ages to enjoy. In anticipation of the future spread of EVs, the hotel decided to introduce ENECHANGE EV Charge, the leading charging service in terms of the number of ports installed. Five units have now been installed and are in use in the parking lot in front of the Fujimi-Tei building, and five more are scheduled to be installed in the parking lot in front of Ryugu-Tei building in September 2023. It is expected that the installation of EV charging ports will help attract more customers in the future.
Hotel Mikazuki Co., Ltd. is also promoting SDGs in cooperation with Kisarazu City and international organizations, and is further engaging with environmental issues through its involvement in mega solar projects.The company has purchased EVs as company vehicles and has installed one ENECHANGE EV Charge charging port at its headquarters.
