ENECHANGE Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has installed its first two-port charger as part of its ENECHANGE EV Charge service at SENDAI Sports garden, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Background and Objectives

ENECHANGE EV Charge focuses on destination charging: charging at locations where drivers may spend several hours and want to have a top-up charge, such as golf courses and other leisure facilities, as well as universities and other educational facilities.

We installed the ENECHANGE EV Charge ports at SENDAI Sports garden, a driving range located 12 minutes by car from Shizuoka Station, near the Sendai Interchange on the Shizusei Bypass, where you can practice golf surrounded by mountains and in the fresh, open air. The driving range is equipped with a temporary shelter and a disaster prevention warehouse in case of disasters, and is also working to reduce its environmental impact.

SENDAI Sports garden has introduced the ENECHANGE EV Charge system in the parking lot for users to meet the increasing demand for EVs in the future. We believe that the development of EV charging infrastructure is an essential part of our efforts to encourage the EV shift, which will further contribute toward carbon neutrality.

The number of EVs and PHVs per 10,000 people in Shizuoka Prefecture is 26.7, ranking 13th in Japan*. We will continue to contribute to the spread of EV charging infrastructure in cooperation with companies working to create local communities and achieve the SDGs.
