Announcement of the appointment of new directors and auditors

ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku,Chairman of the Board of Directors: Masayoshi HIrata) announce that four of the five directors and three auditors were appointed to the Board of Directors at the 9th Continuation of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on July 30, 2024. With regard to Yohei Kiguchi, he has declined to assume office and will retire from the Representative Director position as of 30 July today.

Profile

Masayoshi Hirata serves as the Representative Executive Officer and CFO of Toshiba Corporation. In April 1996, he assumed the role of Executive Director and CFO at Toshiba Information Systems U.K., becoming the head of finance. Subsequently, after serving as CFO in multiple companies, he took on the position of Executive Officer and CFO in September 2015, overseeing the finance department and actively contributing to the reconstruction efforts during a period of management crisis. Currently, he is actively involved as a Senior Manager and Advisor in various business companies and accounting firms.

Reason for Appointment

Masayoshi Hirata has extensive knowledge of the energy and environmental business and deep experience in finance and capital markets, as well as management experience in listed companies. With his broad insight based on this, he is expected to provide advice on the overall management of the Company. He has been appointed as a director as we consider him suitable for making decisions on important management matters and supervising the execution of business operations. We expect to utilise Mr Hirata’s insight as an energy and environmental business leader to provide advice on the Company’s management policies for strengthening governance and sustainable growth.

Retirement
