Reaching net zero is a shared issue for the entire world. In Japan, the administration of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga set a government target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Innovation will be absolutely vital to achieve this goal. In particular, we need innovations in the 4 Ds of energy: (1) deregulation through liberalization and the introduction of competition; (2) digitalization through the installation of smart meters; (3) decarbonization through electrification and making renewable energy our core energy source; and (4) decentralization through the use of smart grid technology that combines electric vehicles, batteries, and other sources of energy storage and deployment. ENECHANGE’s core strategy is to become a platform to accelerate the digital transformation (DX) of the 4 Ds of energy.
Our aim is to become a category leader as an ‘energy tech’ company, one that accelerates innovations towards achieving a decarbonized society. We have a track record in the provision of DX services in fields related to all 4 Ds of energy, from our foundation as an ’change energy‘ service with the liberalization of the electricity market, achieving growth through digitalization software and services, and now aiming to grow through decarbonization and decentralization. ENECHANGE TECHNOLOGY for PLATFORM Energy Platform Business

We aim to make choosing your energy supplier a standard practice through our electricity/gas switching service for individual and corporate customers.

Electricity/Gas Switching Platform for Households

Our dedicated electricity and gas comparison website ENECHANGE allows users to easily compare and simulate savings on electricity and gas tariffs. It offers a one-stop solution from choosing the best plan to completing an application to switch.

Energy Switching Platform for Corporates

ENECHANGE Biz is our dedicated energy switching platform for corporates. It helps reduce costs for corporations when switching electricity and gas suppliers by obtaining quotes from our partner energy companies and provideing free agency services through the completion of a switching application.

ENECHANGE My Energy for Households

When combined with our services, the electricity data from smart meters shows the electricity tariff plan best suited to each household's usage. It also provides users with notifications of changes in usage and advice on saving energy in order to improve efficiency.

My Energy Periodic Estimates for Corporates

This is a free service for corporate customers that sends electricity bill reduction proposals when new tariffs become available or when the contract renewal date approaches. We regularly send users a competitive quote from energy companies - a difficult task with tariff complexity increasing year after year - and provide them with cost reduction consulting services suitable for each facility based on electricity data.

Client Acquisition Service

We acquire clients as agents for energy companies through a variety of online and offline channels, including ENECHANGE, our energy comparison site for households, and via partners such as real estate management companies and call centers.

Vacant Energy Connection Service is a service for property management companies whereby ENECHANGE handles the entire application process for connecting and disconnecting vacant properties. As ENECHANGE bears the electricity costs during the vacant period, property management companies can reduce their costs when a property is vacant.

We provide electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure services to create a convenient, reliable charging experience for users.

EV Charging Infrastructure

We now provide an ultrafast battery-integrated electric vehicle charging port. In addition, through the provision of billing, settlement, and customer management software services for customers, we provide services that contribute to the spread of EVs and the expansion of charging infrastructure.

ENECHANGE EV Charge App

ENECHANGE EV Charge is the No. 1 EV charging app in Japan in terms of the number of users*. This app allows users to search for approximately 18,000 charging spots nationwide, regardless of operator, and view information such as recent usage status.* Number of iOS & Android downloads among five EV charging service companies (as of November 2023, according to data.ai research).

ENECHANGE Passport is the world’s first* demand response-based EV charging flat-rate subscription plan available during daytime hours (7 AM to 4 PM), providing unlimited charging for 2,980 JPY (tax included) per month (30 days). ENECHANGE EV Supporters program

This EV user participation program aims to promote the creation of a reliable EV charging ecosystem. Points are accumulated from participation, such as by posting photos and reviews of charging spots from the app, or sending requests to list new charging spots that have not yet been registered on the app. The accumulated points can be exchanged for prizes.

EVsmart, a site for EV charging location information

EVsmart is a website that provides comprehensive information on EV charging for EV and plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) users, where they can search for regular and fast charging spots, as well as a list of EV vehicles and EV charging cards, providing comprehensive information on EV charging.

EVsmart blog, for EV and EV charging-focused information

The EVsmart blog is focused on EVs and the charging environment, providing easy-to-understand introductions and explanations of the latest domestic and international electric vehicle (EV) information, test drive reports and charging services.

ENECHANGE TECHNOLOGY for DATA Energy Data Business

We aim to make energy more efficient through digitalization, using cloud-based DX services for electricity and gas utilities and EV services.

ENECHANGE CLOUD DR

We provide customized web and mobile applications and analysis functions required for implementing DR (Demand Response) for both high and low voltage applications. Our systems are built using a wealth of operational experience, from baseline and actual calculations to activation notifications and user interfaces.

Investment business (Japan Energy Fund)

Japan Energy Fund (JEF), managed by Japan Energy Capital G.K., operates a renewable energy investment and venture investment fund with a focus on overseas investments. Since its establishment in 2020, the fund has invested in and partnered with a number of prominent startups in various decarbonized tech sectors.

Advisory services (overseas renewable energy investment support projects)

Using the know-how and networks developed through the operation of the ENECHANGE Insight Renewables service, which provides information on renewable energy projects worldwide, and the experience gained in fund investment and management through Group companies, we provide a wide range of services. These services range from research work such as electricity market and product surveys to project sourcing and transaction support, including leading negotiations regarding investment in the target projects.
