ENECHANGE receives Bronze Certification as a “Tokyo Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company 2025”

ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoya Maruoka) is pleased to announce that it has obtained Bronze Certification under the 2025 “Tokyo Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company” registration program.

Background

Our company achieved a 55% male employee childcare leave uptake rate over approximately two years from January 1, 2023, to March 31, 2025, and thus received the “Bronze” certification as a 2025 “TOKYO Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company” under the Tokyo registration system.

On April 1, 2022, the Child Care and Family Care Leave Law was partially amended, requiring employers to create an employment environment that better enables both men and women to balance work and childcare. Additionally, from Oct 2022, the “Postpartum Papa Childcare Leave” system was launched, allowing fathers to use this system for up to four weeks within eight weeks of their child’s birth. Furthermore, in line with the phased enforcement of the Child Care and Family Care Leave Law amendment effective from April 1, 2025, our company has also revised the Child Care and Family Care Leave Regulations in the Rules of Employment on the same date. We will continue to actively promote the development of an environment that facilitates employee work-life balance.

About “Tokyo Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company”

The “TOKYO Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company” registration system is an initiative by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to register companies and organizations that have achieved a certain rate of male employees taking childcare leave and will continue to promote leave uptake. Depending on the rate of uptake, they are awarded a “TOKYO Papa Ikugyo Promotion Company Registration Mark” in three levels.
