TOP MESSAGETo our shareholders and investors
ENECHANGE was founded to contribute to the transformation of Japan’s energy industry, starting with the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, based on the founder’s research into electricity data at the University of Cambridge in the UK and energy policy in Europe, where energy systems are advanced.
On December 23, 2020, ENECHANGE was listed on the TSE Mothers, becoming the first ‘Energy Tech’ company to provide technology services to the energy industry.
Nearly 10 years have passed since our founding, and thanks to the support of many shareholders and investors, ENECHANGE has been able to significantly grow its business.
However, regarding the accounting process in Mar 2024, the misunderstanding of facts by our accounting auditor was due to the inadequacy of our governance and ineffectiveness of our internal controls. We deeply regret having lost the trust of many.
In response to these developments, ENECHANGE announced the “Notice Regarding Formulation of Measures to Prevent Recurrence, Etc. ” on July 29, 2024, and transitioned to a new management structure. Under the leadership of Representative Director & CEO Tomoya Maruoka and Representative Director & COO Tatsuya Sogano, we are embarking on a new journey as “ENECHANGE 2.0”.
The new growth strategy of “ENECHANGE 2.0” targets achieving profitability in FY25 with a two-tiered growth approach: ensuring steady continued growth in our core businesses of the Platform business and Data business, while also positioning for future growth through the EV Charging business.
Alongside these strategic shifts, we will also transform our organizational culture and aim to enhance our corporate value through effective governance and robust internal controls under a new collaborative leadership team that encourages active co-creative discussions.
Together with the new growth strategy and organizational culture, ENECHANGE will continue to contribute to a sustainable society through the energy sector. ENECHANGE is committed to fulfilling its responsibility as a public entity of society and will strive to enhance corporate value. We kindly ask for your continued support.
