ACX and Rondo Energy named Honorees of EIV2023 (1H)
ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yohei Kiguchi) is pleased to announce that ACX (formerly Air Carbon Exchange) and Rondo Energy have been selected as the Honorees of the first cohort of ENECHANGE Insight Ventures 2023 (EIV2023). The ceremonies at the EIV2023 Summit, which were held online on Friday, September 29, included presentations from the Honorees.
ENECHANGE Insight Ventures (EIV) is an energy innovation program organized by ENECHANGE. The goal of the program is to help Japanese energy-related companies accelerate and revitalize innovation in the Japanese market through the introduction of global energy tech companies to their business. The program was originally launched in 2018 as the Japan Energy Challenge (JEC) and rebranded to EIV in 2021. This is the sixth time the program has been held since its inception.
EIV2023 is underpinned by Japan’s Green Growth Strategy, which sets out plans for carbon neutrality by 2050, as well as subscriber interest in fields key to decarbonizing Japan. The EIV team received dozens of applications from across North America, Europe, and Oceania. The list was narrowed down to 10 finalists who were invited to participate in this edition’s cohort. Each finalist had the chance to present their solutions to an audience of key decision-makers in the Japanese energy industry through a series of monthly webinars. After a series of interviews and collaborative discussions with the ENECHANGE Group and Japanese sponsors, the two companies selected as Honorees for EIV2023 (1H) are ACX (Singapore and Abu Dhabi) and Rondo Energy (US).
