Enbio Holdings, Inc. Participates in Japan Energy Capital 1 L.P., an Overseas-Specialized Decarbonized Energy Fund
ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yohei Kiguchi; Representative Director & COO: Ippei Arita) is pleased to welcome Enbio Holdings, Inc. as an investor in “Japan Energy Capital 1 L.P. (hereafter referred to as the Fund),” which is the first one of the overseas-specialized decarbonized energy fund “Japan Energy Fund.” The Japan Energy Fund has been jointly managed by ENECHANGE and Looop Inc (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President, CEO: Soichiro Nakamura) through Japan Energy Capital limited liability company since April 2020.
The Fund mainly targets renewable energy businesses in Turkey and Jordan. Enbio develops solar power generation businesses and water resource development projects in Jordan, as well as biomass gasification and power generation projects in Turkey. The Fund’s purpose matches perfectly with the international business strategy of Enbio, which led to its participation as an investor.
With the participation of Enbio, which has deep expertise in the investment target countries, we will further promote the Fund’s investment activities to support sustainable infrastructure development in these regions. We will also strive to enlist additional investors and expand the fund size in order to reach the Fund’s projected target of 100 million USD (equivalent to some 11 billion JPY).
