ENECHANGE releases new feature My Energy Navi for its ENECHANGE My Energy service for households
ENECHANGE Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yohei Kiguchi, PhD) offers the ENECHANGE My Energy service, which uses electricity data derived from smart meters across Japan to manage electricity consumption more efficiently and support the selection of energy tariffs. ENECHANGE are pleased to announce the release of My Energy Navi as a new feature of our service for households.
Since October 2023, third parties can obtain and use electricity data from individual consumers at 30-minute intervals for a fee via a certification association (*1) accredited by the government. In all cases, consent must be given by the consumers. Currently, daily and monthly data are provided, and real-time data is planned to be provided from 2025.
In October 2023, ENECHANGE announced the launch of ENECHANGE My Energy, a service that uses smart meter-derived electricity data to manage electricity consumption more efficiently and support the selection of electricity rate plans (*2). When the service was first announced in October 2023, My Energy Switch, a function for households, and My Energy Periodic Estimates, a function for high-voltage businesses, were released. For households, the service will be expanded this to include three services: My Energy Switch, My Energy Navi, and My Energy Alert.

New feature: My Energy Navi
My Energy Navi is a function that allows users to continuously check their electricity usage and electricity bills, even if they change their household electricity supplier, so that they can continue to save energy and money.
Using electricity data, users can easily switch between daily (monthly display) and time-of-day electricity usage displays. Furthermore, they can select a specific period of time to check their electricity usage, electricity bills and comparison data with the previous year and previous month.
The current contract area and tariff plan are also displayed, allowing the user to keep track of their tariff details. Monthly and daily electricity usage is displayed in graphs, and a breakdown table of electricity usage can be checked alongside this.
- Switch between daily (monthly) and time-of-day displays
- Usage and electricity bills for the period indicated, year-on-year and month-on-month comparisons (comparison of monthly usage with the same month of the previous year, comparison of daily usage with the same day of the previous month)
- Indication of contract area and tariff
- Display of monthly and daily electricity consumption graphs
- Display of usage breakdowns in line with the display graphs
My Energy Navi will also support the expansion of functions such as the display of annual electricity consumption, graphs showing comparison with the previous period, support for multiple locations and electricity rate displays.
ENECHANGE will promote energy conservation through efficient energy management by strengthening and expanding its services using electricity data, with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
ENECHANGE My Energy service for households
Three features – My Energy Switch, My Energy Navi and My Energy Alert – support the optimum use of electricity in the home and the selection of electricity tariffs.
Even customers who are not normally aware of their electricity usage and electricity rates will be able to select the optimum electricity tariff based on past usage data. They also receive notifications when their usage changes and are offered more efficient ways of using electricity. Furthermore, until now, when customers changed electricity providers, they lost track of their past usage, which was one of the bottlenecks in reviewing household budget burdens, but from now on, users will be able to manage their usage continuously with ENECHANGE My Energy.
・My Energy Switch (released in October 2023)
The electricity tariff plan is automatically simulated based on actual past usage of electricity data. If the current plan is not optimal, the system prompts a switch in electricity tariff plans.
・My Energy Navi (released in January 2024)
Even if users change electricity supplier, they can continuously check their electricity usage and electricity bills and continue to save energy and money.
・My Energy Alert (service release planned for early 2024)
Users will receive alerts when usage increases or changes, together with energy-saving information and advice on how to use electricity. Users will also be promptly informed of any planned increases in their electricity tariff.
