Charter of Corporate Behavior of the ENECHANGE Group
In order to realize the corporate philosophy of the ENECHANGE Group, we have established a Charter of Corporate Behavior consisting of twelve principles. In accordance with this charter, we will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, international rules, and the spirit of the charter, while acting with high ethical standards to fulfill our social responsibilities.
Relationship with Stakeholders
Enabling Everyone to Choose Electricity and Gas
Support services for switching electricity and gas companies and plans
We provide support for switching electricity and gas companies and plans through our electricity and gas comparison websites ENECHANGE for households and ENECHANGE Biz for corporations. Through this, we help customers choose and use electricity and gas that suit their lifestyles.
Giving back to customers
We offer a cashback campaign in the form of Amazon gift certificates to customers who switch via ENECHANGE.
Provision of Energy Information
Our electricity and gas comparison website ENECHANGE not only provides information on switching electricity and gas companies, but also information necessary for customers to choose energy plans. By providing easy-to-understand information, we aim to eliminate information gaps related to energy.
Enhanced Customer Support
In addition to responding to inquiries via the website, we have established a call center to respond to inquiries about how to select and switch electricity and gas companies. In the event that a customer unexpectedly needs to switch energy companies due to an energy company’s withdrawal, etc., a dedicated contact point is immediately established to dispel customers’ concerns and provide support for switching.
Relations with Employees
Promoting Diversity
In accordance with our Human Rights Policy, we are promoting the creation of an environment where the diversity of our human resources is linked to our competitiveness. Currently, locally hired personnel are working in our overseas offices (UK and Lebanon), mainly at our UK subsidiary ENECHANGE Innovation Limited.
Work-Life Balance
Making Remote Work Permanen
Our company introduced a remote work system in April 2020, and we now have a hybrid work schedule that combines remote work and coming to the office. We are also actively working to reduce employee overtime, for example by managing labor in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Work From UK
This is a system that allows employees to transfer to ENECHANGE Innovation Limited, a UK subsidiary of ENECHANGE, and work from the UK. The purpose of this program is to develop global human resources who can face energy issues from a global perspective by living and working overseas.
Human Resource Development
Onboarding
Our onboarding includes a session on Mission and Value by the management team, introduction of company rules and various flows, and a briefing session on the business units. The purpose of this is to help employees blend in smoothly as remote work becomes more widespread and it is difficult to meet face to face.
OKR
We have adopted OKRs as a mechanism to effectively design and manage goals by aligning the company and team with individual goals. Our OKRs are tied to our evaluation system, and each quarter we incorporate the OKRs set by the business unit down to the individual level, and evaluate progress based on the individual OKRs that have been set.
1on1
Interviews are held once a week between supervisors and members. In addition to confirming the progress of OKRs and the process of initiatives, we aim to remove barriers for members to develop their careers and achieve their goals by providing a forum for members to share their issues and concerns with their supervisors.
Holding regular in-house study sessions
Study sessions are regularly held by advisors from major power companies and outside directors. This is done as a backup to raise the level of energy knowledge and strengthen governance.
The College System
The system is based on a tradition from Cambridge University in the UK, where the founder was a student, and aims to create an opportunity for employees from different departments and jobs to belong to one college and build horizontal ties.
Learning Subsidy
The company will pay all expenses for attending paid seminars and purchasing books necessary for work such as business books.
Employee Engagement
Performance-based Compensation (SO incentives)
Our company provides stock options as an incentive system. By passing on the future value of the company, this system allows members to work together for a long period of time toward the company’s mission and share the fruits of their labor.
Stock Ownership Plan
This system was established to enable all members to work for the improvement of business performance and corporate value, and to share the fruits of their efforts.
Mission and Value Award
Based on our mission of “Creating the Future of Energy” and our three values of “Impact Driven,” “Be A Professional,” and “Energise The Team,” we award members and team who embody each of these values in their work. Awards are given once a year for our Mission and quarterly for our Values.
